Hortico is an eco-friendly British brand. We handcraft our planters from natural wood in a traditional style.
Traditional English design is a combination of simplicity, naturalness and handmade elements, all of which are reflected in our products.

Our values

Sustainability is a core value of our brand. We want to raise the awareness of environmentally friendly consumption and nature conservation in general, so we only use natural wood from FSC-certified suppliers. This certification ensures that the wood comes from responsibly managed forests.
A stylish and high-quality planter doesn't have to be made of plastic or fiberglass. Natural wood is safe for your plants and household, environmentally friendly and also looks great.

Advantages

• Drainage holes prevent waterlogging and protect the root system against rotting.
• Our products are highly resistant to dampness and rot: the wood does not rot when in contact with soil. To prolong the lifespan of the planter and to maintain the appearance of the material for years to come, we recommend the use of a liner inside the pot.
• Our planters provide natural aeration and an optimal level of air in the root zone, producing optimum conditions for the healthy growth and development of your plants.
• Each Hortico planter is handmade by skilled craftsmen. We respect tradition and prefer hand craftsmanship to mass production. This gives each planter its own special charm and uniqueness.
• Made from natural materials with a concern for the environment. We use only FSC-approved wood.
• Hortico is a small, locally owned business based in the UK. We support the economy by providing local employment and support the environment by reducing the miles that the planters travel to reach you.
• Some assembly is required.

Please do not allow water to sit or pool at the bottom of the planter without a liner or a saucer tray as this will cause damage to the planter.
